I just installed this software and I cannot connect it to the internet, so I have be making changes, closing the software, reopening it, etc. Everytime I start the software I have to enter my email, password and premiere code. This causes the machine to reregester with your servers and show up as another machine in my account. I only have the software installed on 1 computer, but your servers show that I have 4 and I cannot figure out how to remove them. I have clicked the deregister this device button in the software, but that does  nothing except cause me to reloging and create yet another device.

I still cannot get this computer to show up on the web, or on my Android device.

Something similar happening to me, I had two copies of the same machine.
Did a full uninstall of the pogoplug software, and still left with one.
Troubleshooting mentions going into control panel, but there was never a pogoplug icon in control panel.
Running Win7 64 bit on mixed Win7_64, WHS, Vista_64, _32, Linux network.
Hardwired pogoplug never been a problem and been running for over a year.
Software did work with one of the two machines showing but was just hoping to get rid of the "spare".
Tagging along in the hope of a common resolution, and to let you know you're not alone.

Try to check yours Program Files folder, if you see there Pogoplug folder open it and there you can find uninstall.exe. Running it will remove Pogoplug software from your machine. I recommend rebooting before installing new version.

Did that last night, uninstalling got rid of one instance, then re-installing it noticed the second instance, and basically set that up properly.

Still a bit concerned that there is no desktop icon, no start menu icon, no quicklaunch icon, and when I restart, it doesn't run automatically. (Computer is used with a user rather than administrator account) Computer runs 24/7, so only an issue with automatic restart on Windows Updates.

Not the only software that doesn't want to restart without an administrator user, but at least the other software I can put a shortcut on the desktop, or find it in the start menu.

Have a shared folder set up (not one of the defaults), and that seems to be working fine for remote access. Have no idea how to "log in" to the service to get the P: drive to show up again. (it did for a start)

Not overly impressed.

Love the hardware pogoplug - despite the colour, as it's supported by my download manager, and so far works everywhere I've tried it.

You can certainly make shortcuts for the software on the desktop or launch bar. My preference would be to do this myself anyway.

if the device, pink as it may be, is working but the downloaded software isn't, perhaps you can flat ignore the software and create a bookmark for my.pogoplug.com with your log in info and password being saved by the browser.
click that and you should be in.

Odd, though, I found the win free software worked great first time on XP Pro. But was completely brain dead on mac OS Snow Leopard. But the pink thang is visible by everything I have...so I've given up caring if the desktop software is not working. Browser does, android app does, and it's good.

Perhaps even use a good uninstaller like "Revo Uninstaller" to get rid of the software install.
