Why not to install the pogo software on the machine owns that network drive?
I am getting an error message in Windows Explorer when I try to access a network drive shared with Pogoplug software. It says "P:/xxxx is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect" though I can see the files when I log into the web based interface. This has happened on 2 different computers, but it only seems to be network drives. This is using the software and a mapped network drive from my laptop, not my pogoplug device. Using Windows Xp Sp3.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, the network drive is on a corporate server.
I'm also getting the same issue when trying to access a USB drive that is physically connected to a USB port on my computer.
It is the same symptom...accessible through the web interface, but not accessible remotely via Windows Explorer. Thanks for your help.
It looks like when you share a whole drive, the drive letter has a colon after it and it names the folder that. For example, if I share my C: drive, it creates a folder on the Pogoplug drive called "Windows (C:) [COMPUTER]". The colon is invalid in a folder name so it is inaccessible. I wish Pogoplug would fix this, possibly by removing the colons automatically or by letting us specify the name we want the folder (or drive) accessible as on the P: drive.
