I have the pogoplug desktop software installed.  When I go to the Pogoplug drive (P:), it has duplicate folders for folders shared with me.  For instance, if I have a folder named "Project Files" shared with me, it will have 6 copies of "Project Files" listed.  When I open them, they all lead to the same directory.  This is a shared folder on a HDD plugged into a Pogoplug Biz on our LAN.  I am using Windows 7 Pro.  Any help is appreciated!

If you login to that same email account at my.pogoplug.com and go to Sharing, then Shared with me do you see the duplicate folders there as well? Or is this specific to the P drive?

This problem is specific to the P: drive, I don't see duplicate folders if I go through the website. Also, it requires me to constantly Reload. If I do not, I get a message that the drive is unavailable. When I Reload, all is fine for about 60 seconds, then I get the error message again. I really hope we can get this worked out - I think this could be a great tool for us.

Thanks!

Make sure you're on Service Pack 1.

See if it still happens when checking show separate drive for each Pogoplug drive from the Preference Pane.

Verify the issue exist on other PCs on this same lan? If it does then it's possible its a problem with the type of network configuration you have.

Then submit a ticket at support.pogoplug.com with info about your network configuration.

The only time I have seen the situation I think you have described is when I somehow managed to have administrator accounts indirectly shared AND duplicate file names (that I did not realize) on the three pogoplugs and the premium desktop pogoplug.

Of course, this may not be the same problem; however, if it is, I tracked it down by making sure there was a unique-pogoplug-prefix on every file (yea, it took some time). Then I was able to determine where the file was actually located. I did have some surprises and some files I did not expect to appear on the other pogoplugs.

I resolved this by making sure that each pogoplug at the administrator/owner level (set in Settings on the pogoplug) did NOT share an eMail address.

I still have one mystery, in my situation, where the owner eMail address is somehow replaced, though not useable, by a "once," but no longer intended-to-be-used, administrator eMail. This one is making me paranoid.

You may want to do do screen prints of all the possible views that would show tech support what is happening to your Pogoplug. Then go to support.pogoplug.com and submit a written description of the problem you are experiencing and attach the screen prints.

I wish you the best in your quest for a resolution!
