I had a Pogoplug at the Office (Firmware is 2.5.7), now I purchased another one for my home. The new one has Firmware 2.5.9.5. Why is the old one not yet updated to the latest FW? What can I do to initiate the update?

Hello,

Leaving that Pogoplug online for about 2 hours without anyone accessing it, an update should occurr. If not, please make a support ticket at support.pogoplug.com and we can look at the pogoplug specifically to see if there are any reasons it hasn't been updated.

Also, note that not all versions of Pogoplug hardware have the same firmware version number as being most recent for it.

The only limit to the Pogoplug is your imagination... and C skills... and linux skills. ^_^ h\t\tp://download.pogoplug.com/opensource/pogoplug-gcc.tar.bz2

I found out, that my second device is a Pogoplug V3. This explains the fw differences. However another problem exists: I can?t SSH to it. It keeps me telling I am using a wrong password, even thoug I used the right one. Checked this twice with 2 passwords.
