When I go to media settings and try an enable "Stream photos, videos and music to your PS3™ and Xbox 360", for my PC, I receive a message that I need the premium software even though I have the pink pogoplug.  My understanding is that we didn't need to buy the premium software if we owned a pogoplug.  I could be wrong.  I'm able to stream to my attached HD using pogoplug no problem, just not to my PC.

You will receive this message when trying to change the 'Stream...' preference for the Free version of Pogoplug software. Please select your Pogoplug from the pull-down menu near the 'Apply changes' button and try changing this preference again.

If you are still having trouble setting this preference for your Pogoplug device, please take a screenshot of what you are seeing.

If you've already submitted a Support ticket, please let us know the ticket number.

Thanks for your quick response  I'm looking at the drop down next to "apply changes" but all it shows is my PC, and my external drive that's connected to it.  Here is an image of the issue [IMG]http://i56.tinypic.com/rvilhl.jpg[/IMG]

Does anyone know how I can get my pogoplug to show in the drop down list next to the "apply changes" in the media settings? Did you have to do anything special to make it show up? my UI Version is 3.0.2. Again, here is the imgage to what I'm showing [IMG]http://i56.tinypic.com/rvilhl.jpg[/IMG]

Thanks for the screenshot.

Is your Pogoplug otherwise online with the account in the screenshot?

Did you use the same email for Pogoplug and your software installs?

If are logged into '77210...' and 'ADMIN-PC' with a different email than your Pogoplug, your Pogoplug device won't appear in Files, Media, etc. and of course any of the Settings pages, including Media Settings.

Yes my Pogoplug is/was online when I took the screenshot. I checked, and I confirmed that I used the same email for the software install on my computer. That matches the email to my.pogoplug.com.

The 77210 is the external drive that's connected to my Pogoplug and is the only thing I can stream. The "ADMIN-PC" is still giving me the same message about getting premium software when I try to stream it. Are you saying there should be a dropdown next to apply changes that shows my pogoplug as well? If so, I've not seen that. Should my page look different because I have the pink pogoplug? Or am I supposed to buy the premium software to stream from my PC even though I have the pogoplug hardware?

So can someone who has a pink pogo let me know if in the media settings in the pogoplug software, are you able to enable steaming to your pc. If so, did you purchase the premium software for pogoplug, or were you just able to do it without purchasing the premium software.

I can stream from my pink pogo to my xbox for free, but I dont think i can stream from my pc to my xbox for free using the pogo program. Does that help?

Hi Larjeet,

Pogoplug's with firmware version 2.5.x or later should include Media Settings.

Support can diagnose why Media Settings don't appear for you.

Sign in to my.pogoplug.com and 'Submit a support ticket' using 'Help Center'; submitting a request in this way captures valuable diagnostic information to help Support get a head start on your problem.
