I found the answer to this issue...
Tversity binds with the network adapter with the highest priority.. Pogoplug changed their stuff to install a fake network adapter, which takes higher priority than tversity.. You have to go in and reorder your adapter priority to put your lan connection at the highest spot..
Heres an article for win xp.. google for win 7 equivalent.. (yes, my tversity box is an xp pro box.. sfw..)
I have had tversity installed with win7 for a while and it works flawlessly. All comes along pogoplug and it compleately messes up tversity. I start getting errors like " error opening files for writing" and SERVICE IS STOPPED OR CONNECTION ERROR.
Once I unistall pogoplug as well as tversity and reinstall tversity. It works flawlessly.
It seems that while pogoplug can work with tversity. Tversity cannot.
Help required
Vista (very similar to Windows 7):
- Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Manage Network Connections
- once there, you need to enable the menu bar by clicking "Organize" -> Layout -> Menu Bar
- a menu should appear with an "Advanced" option, then click "Advanced Settings"
- use the up/down arrows to rearrange the order.
