The upload method on Android is a little unintuitive imho. First I have to start the app, then navigate to a folder, then select upload, then navigate to another folder, then I can upload a single file as opposed to multiple files...can this please be fixed so that users may select multiple files in the same directory to be uploaded at once?

ability to upload and download a directory would be helpful too.

I agree. I would like to be able to grab all my photos and videos and upload them in one shot for safe keeping on my pogoplug. It would also be nice if I could long press a photo and under the share menu have pogoplug show up like facebook etc do now.

This is exactly what is wrong in the current app!!

Like Mchipguru, I was trying to upload all of the photos from my Android phone the other day. Needless to say, when I discovered that I would have to upload them one-by-one, I gave up on the idea.

One possibility that would be really helpful would be for the pogoplug to show up as a disk drive just as it does in the desktop client. I could then use any file manager to move/copy whatever files I like.

Alternatively, use the Android Share feature to display a list of folders on Pogoplug devices (like Dropbox does). That way I can select multiple files in whatever application I care to choose on the phone (Gallery, File Manager or 3rd party app) and upload files to the Pogoplug.

Having to upload files one at a time makes it completely unusable for uploading multiple files from a phone.

I just installed the 4.0.5.4 version (as seen on the Market page). It connects without a problem and I can see all the files on my connected drives. But it only uploads one pic at a time. This takes way too long.
Also the music player does not turn off - showing a symbol in the notification bar of my droid incredible (2.2 froyo). I had to log off from the phone to get the music player to turn off.

I hope the upload pictures feature can be enhanced to select photos from the phone's gallery and then batch upload them to the folder selected.
Thanks,
Deb

Any work on the multiple uploads?

I got a Thrive tablet specifically for the full-size SD slot. Was hoping to upload multiple gigs of pictures from my Thrive to Plug during vacations where I take hundreds of pictures a day.

I have an file manager app (Blackmoon File Browser) that allows me to 'select' multiple files, but uploading more than 1 at a time results in a failure message. Hope it's a feature on the next version of the app.

My wife has an Motorola Droid Pro and when ever I take a photos or capture video with her phone it automatically uploads to my Pogoplug. That does not happen with my Motorola Bionic. I have to upload them one at a time...I'm not doing that.

I was so happy to get my Pogoplug Series 4 for Xmas...the excitement is gone. This thing is slow and I have my house hardwired so I don't have it on a wireless connection.

What video format does the Pogoplug prefer?
