Has any one try to save directly to a popgoplug drive from inside word or excel?

When I do, it takes about 6 Minutes to save. Then word or excel is none responsive for another 5 to 10 minutes.

Can I ask about your Pogoplug settings? Also are you wireless or wired connection?

Which version of excel and windows are you using?

Thanks

I have my desktop connected to a netgear wndr3700 (wired) and my pogoplug pro hooked to the netgear router....the pogoplug media settings are 1. "Stream photos, videos and music to your PS3™ and Xbox 360 = disable" 2. "Optimize your videos for playback = always" 3. "Create media meta-data (such as music album art): = never" 3. Generate photo and video thumbnails: = always". I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium and Microsoft Office 2003. I tried the newer version and didn't really care for it so I went back to the 2003 version. I also went into my device manager and under the network adapter properties and went through and rechecked all settings and found that after checking those settings and making appropriate changes my pogoplug performance was greatly improved. I don't know if any of this will help you but it sure has worked for me.

When you say you went into the network adapter and check your settings? Can I ask which settings you were looking at?

Thanks

In windows control panel select the device icon...once that comes up, go down and select your network adapter....right click and go down to properties.....select the advanced tab and then go through all your adapter settings.....

I understand were to look, but is there a list of prefered seeting fo adapters?

Also is there some firewall settings that need checked?

Thanks Again.

no there isnt a prefered list for individual adapters...its just the windows settings for the adapter that you have installed in your computer....i just went in and experimented with different settings till i got what i thought was the best setup. Most of them had an "auto" setting which i used and just let windows take it from there. I didnt have to do anything with my firewall....

Thanks, the new driver 3.0.2 seemed to help a lot.

Thanks for the comments.
