May be I missed it somewhere along the way but it appears that when I copy a 960x544 video into PPV, it displays it plays it back in the 600-ish x 300-ish size range regardless of how big the PC's screen is.

Even with the PPV, I manually transcode my videos with Handbrake into .m4v format (web optimized) as they stream much quicker.  The size is set for an iPad-type format (960x544).

Most of our video viewing is done from within our own local network with only a little done remotely so I prefer a larger format.

PPV optimization is turned off on the PPV as I find it works better that way.

All of my manually-transcoded videos play perfectly via iPhone and iPad.  The videos load almost instantly from any viewing platform.  My only fuss is that on a PC, the displayed video does not appear to be the size I transcoded it to be.

Any thoughts on this?  Am I doing something wrong?  Thanks.

Does the same aspect issue happen when the video is placed into full screen mode when playing back from PPV?

No.  When in full screen it appears to be the 960x544 size.  So PPV has a preset, default that ignores the size of the "original"?  Thanks.

Specifically to the PPV device, it doesn't doesn't preserve aspect ratios because the output resolution isn't scaled. This is a known bug that is currently being investigated for a fix.

If you want to PM a share of a movie that does this I can check it out just to make sure. But that sounds like what you're experiencing.
