mm I having same problem on all my computers.
I'll try the uninstall, reboot, install methode.
My pogoplug's drives are a no longer showing up as a P: drive (or any other drive letter either) with the new desltop software. The version number in the software shows 3.0.1.0. I checked for updates and there are no updates. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have tried the "Reload Pogoplug drives" to no avail.
In Preferences I have "Remote Access" off because I don't want anything from my PC shared. In the "Drive" tab I have "Enabled Pogoplug drives" checked. Under the Account tab it shows my correct email address that I use to login to my.pogoplug.com for remote web access.
Where do I go from here?

I noticed that it works on the user account that has Administrator priviledges but the Standard users do not have the P: drive. I received a response from Pogoplug support and they stated the folowing:
"for security reasons, it was necessary for the Pogoplug drive software to be accessed by a user with administrator privileges only."
I don't understand why they did this, and I don't accept their answer.
I heard the same thing:
"at this moment in time the Software works in Administrator mode, this may change in the future but at the moment I have no time frame for you."
I hope that means they will fix this. I have several machines my children use that now cannot access my PP (at least with the new software) because I'm not about to give them an administrator account.
Is there a way to change which drive pogoplug uses? I have one of the original PogoPlug's and with the previous software you could make a shortcut and use -l Q to have it mapped as, say a Q drive but that no longer works and it's pretty frustrating. I'm severly disappointed with the maturity of software development that hard-codes a drive letter like it was 1992. My entire Photoshop catalog is mapped to a "P" drive as the path for over 12 years worth of photo's and I can't change that.
I guess I may have to sell this thing and stop evangelizing it as it's really showing signs of just how immature the software is. If I can't change the drive letter, how serious are they about this, as a company?

For those having this issue support responded suggestion I uninstall Pogoplug Desktop Software, reboot, and reinstall. This did the trick. Also, the new desktop software does work better for me than the prior version.
