I have installed the new v. 3.01 software on both my Mac and Windows 7 SP1 (64 bit) machines, and both give me the same error message that says "an error has occurred, and cannot continue".  I have rebooted, and still get the same error.

I cannot access my drive from either machine (obviously), and very upset that this isn't working on either operatiing system.

To make matters worse, now Pogoplug forces you to sign up for these advertising offers by default with this new software.  Way to go, guys ... you're going to **** off a lot of people by putting this shotgun to their heads!

1. i know that pogoplug server went down with amazons EC2 so.... the problem not in the software or the service rather amazon

2. i believe that now everything should work for you --- so it would be nice to hear that it does

3. what do you mean by "forces you to sign up for these advertising offers by default"?

1 & 2. EC2 seems to be up and running now. I tried it a few minutes ago, and I can now access my drive, which is about 120 miles from my current location.

3. I'm referring to the "TrialPay" garbage.

I don't think it's a part of Pogo software...

Have you tried installing the new software?

I can guarantee that it's a part of the software. I tried it on both my Mac Book Pro and my Windows 7 machine, and it's in both versions.

It's just another way of milking money out of its users. Either pay the $29, or get the user on frivolous advertising offers.

After your previous post I have reinstalled win software (from download.com) and no TrailPay what so ever.
