I am under the impression that even if you don't own a Pogoplug, you can sign up for a Pogoplug ID (free, of course.) This should enable you to keep track of files shared to you and to log in to the iPad app. I haven't tested it, but ask your folks to sign up for a Pogoplug ID using the same email and try using the app to view what you have shared with them.

I recently got my parents an iPad 2 (FaceTime with my kid) and would love for them to view my photos/video folder on my PP via the PP iPad app. Right now they view my files on the PP via the Web interface. I created a desktop shortcut for them and everything to try and get them directly into the sub folder I want them to see.
The reason for viewing via the iPad PP app is for the better photo and video viewing experince. Web interface is not as streamlined as the app and makes it harder for my parents to get it.
I know I could give them my password but I have a few drives hooked up and they kinda have a few extra clicks to get to the drive with the photos and videos.
I guess I am asking for non-PP owner to be able to login to the iPad app to see my shared items.
Any suggesitons?
