I just installed Pogoplug V2, put in a thumbdrive and all that appears when I access my.pogoplug is my computers hard drive NOT the thumb drive I attached. Reading the forum they state not just to remove your USB connection but to go to settings and EJECT the drive. In the new software I can not find an ejection button. I am using Windows 7 SP1. Could someone please how to safely unplug a thumbdrive or usb external hard drive using the new software so I can try another USB external

You would eject the drive using the http://my.pogoplug.com/ webpage. There should be an icon next to the drive's name.

That you sooooo much for your quick response! The problem is, the ONLY thing that appears on my.pogoplug is my main computers name with folders linked to it BUT no reference to my USB Thumb drive. Can I just remove the thumb drive from the pogoplug since it doesn't even appear? Once again thank you for taking the time to answer

Sorry everyone for wasting your time - found out you can not just plug in an external device but you have to "activate" it in settings. I was getting confused with the term "activate" and thought by pressing "Activate new pogoplug device" meant to add an additional pogoplug not adding an external hard drive - Once I activated my thumb drive everything showed up along with my Hard drive.
Again, I apologize.
