I had some strange issues like this once as well, and was able to help by adjusting the permissions on the embedded files and folders on the drive. For some reason, they were not set properly and I couldn't write to them. (This was on Mac OS X.)

If that doesn't work, I would contact support so they can investigate your specific issue and setup.
