You shouldn't have to open any ports to use Pogoplug, but I have seen cases where very zealous firewalls can interfere with it. I would report this issue to Support and have them help you out.
Hi!
Im running a Microsoft TMG firewall at home that I manage. What ports need to be open for the pogoplug software to work? Right now I only get the error "Pogoplug is unable to connect to the network".
Thanks in advance!
When launching pogoplug software on my Vista Business computer RDP stops working on that computer. If I shut down pogoplug RDP access to that computer runs smoothly again. Are there any known issues / work-a-rounds to deal with this, or is it even a known issue?

Still can't connect even after opening all the required ports. Does anyone else struggle with this behind a professional firewall?
I have the same problem with ISA 2004. It is because all http traffic is routed through the proxy component of TMG 2010. The only sollution with ISA 2004 is to disable the webproxy module for the whole network, not something I would like to do.
I already made a support case for this and the only thing they could say is: we know, use the web interface.
