I need to change the shown IP address on my "pogoplug" enable GoFlex Net device. It show an "auto-ip" address of 169.254.xxx.yyy instead of my true IP address.
How can I do this?
You cannot change that.
You should reboot the Pogoplug and ensure that there is an internet connection available to it during startup. The AUTOIP usage almost always means the router attached did not give it an IP; meaning DHCP is disabled.
All Pogoplug devices require DHCP.

My GoFlex Net has an IP address! It is just that the WFS screen is stuck on 169.254 auto-ip address. There is normally a way of "fixing" this on "other" Linuxes.
That is odd.
Can you go to support.pogoplug.com, make a ticket and reference this thread?
Also please provide the DeviceID and/or the email address you use to login.
We can have a closer look at what is going on.
