As I am using my Pogoplug to store all my download files (mainly software) it would be great if I could download things directly to my Pogoplug without having to be connected.

I am using a pink Pogoplug and 99% from the time use my laptop. Downloading large files (Linux iso) takes a very long time and I don't want to keep my laptop open. What I want it to copy/paste the download link to a download management page in my.pogoplug.com and have my Pogoplug download the file for me. I can think of a browser plugin so when I right click on a link it will offer me to "Download to Pogoplug".

This becomes even more important when I am browsing the net with my iPhone and see something I want to download. I cannot download to my iPhone (nor it makes sense) and would simply like to copy/paste the link to the Pogoplug app and it can tell my Pogoplug to download it.

That's an interesting idea. ^_^

The only limit to the Pogoplug is your imagination... and C skills... and linux skills. ^_^ h\t\tp://download.pogoplug.com/opensource/pogoplug-gcc.tar.bz2

Should be fairly simple too, at least for non-password protected pages.

The native system has wget in it, so it should be fairly easy to add that functionality to the system via an addition to the web ui. All that is needed is destination and source!

That is a cool idea, and should be pretty easy to do.

If you're savvy you could SSH into your pogo and use WGET to do this now. Not a very elegant solution, but it would work.
