Alright, I upgraded to the new 4.0 version of the Pogoplug app, and I can say with full confidence that everything which has worked previously (for me) no longer works.

1.)  Can't consistently play music from my music list.  (indexing completed rebooted my iphone and still nothing consistently).

2.)  Songs are missing.  (I can see the files in the file list, but some are not showing up in the music list).

These are the two biggest issues.  I would love to go back to the previous version of the app, but that is not possible.

I have an iPhone 3GS, and have upgraded to the new 4.0 app.  I have the original Pogoplug (the pink one) and everything had worked perfectly until the app upgrade.

Any help or any hope of bug fixes would be great!

Thanks!Frown

I too have the same issue.

I have an iPhone 3GS with OS V 4.3.1

Pogoplug was working fine UNTIL I updated to V 4.0. I'm able to sign-in and get to the menu screen but it seems to just get stuck there. When I click on Settings all I get is "Indexing" in Music Library. I kept that running for ages but nothing's changed. If I click on Files all I get is the swirl going round and round with "Loading..."

I've updated the app to V4.1 and it's still the same and hasn't fixed the issue.

I've submitted a report via the app and would greatly appreciate if anyone else can give me a heads-up to a fix so I can use the app as intended.

VERY FRUSTRATED!

Same here. I am near giving up at this point after. This update is awful and I really want to believe in this product. It is so much slower, and no it is not my upload speed, 1MB and I have an iPhone 4. All it says it is doing is indexing the music all the time. It takes forever, and usually it just crashes when you try to just go to the files section. I have to do this, as it says there is only one band under the name S, there are 48! I wish I could roll this back. Yes, there are more features, but they do not work. However, to their credit, they did try to fix some of the bugs, which means they are trying, so when they read this thread hopefully they will look into this as well.

i have reported this issue to pogoplug support team several times and each time they advise an update will take care of it. This time they have advised that they are passing it to their technical dept. Just wondering if you guys have had any joy ??

I find that it randomly decides when to index, and also discovered some albums that had say 12 tracks it would only index 5 of them and others fail to show. maybe worth reporting issues so they are aware that it's more than one user experiencing the problems as they advised recently that they were unaware of any issue with indexing music via the iphone app.

I have reported this to the support team again. And as stated, they told me again that it would be resolved in an update to be released this week. Confidence is not too high... We will see.

I am having similar problems with the Pogoplug app for IOS:

I have a pogoplug setup with outside users to share a few folders.

1. When one of my users logs in on the computer at my.pogoplug.com all the shared folders show up.

2. When the same user logs in with the Android app, all the shared folders show up.

3. When the same user logs in with the IOS app, only one of the 3 shared folders shows up.  IPhone, or iTouch, doesn't matter.

I tried the same thing with another user that has the same shares and the exact same thing happens, all shares show up on the computer and the Android app, only one shared folder on the IOS app.  The same folder on shows up on the IOS app for both users.

I have a trouble ticket in with Pogoplug support, anxiously waiting their reply.......

Well, the update that was promised last week still hasn't shown up. I am going to put in another ticket.

@DaveNap - I am having the same invisible share issues as well.

Hey Pogoplug...What's going on? Is there really an update or do you use that line to close support tickets?

I have had actual conversations with the ios developer and last month they stated that it was fixed.  My IOS user still could not see all the files I shared with him.  I basically gave up, and decided to just wait.  Today, my IOS user emailed me to say that after another update he is finally able to see everything.  Lets hope that the IOS people and pogoplug don't do anymore "upgrades".

do you see this issue with the new version (4.4) pogoplug app?

May 24, 2012 1:28 AM

I now have a 4S and have tried and tried to get Pogoplug working but still no success whatsoever. Support clearly don't monitor this forum otherwise they would at least have the decency to respond. I have all but given up and will look towards a program that does what it says... WORK!

Since installing the latest app for both iPhone and iPad it has made the Pogoplug unusable!!. Constantly just indexes when you open the app.
