Similar question. I want to share my music (Movies, etc.) library with a friend. I expected this to be straightforward, as this is a top marketing feature for Pogoplug. But at the "Library" level, the "Share" feature is grayed out. So, question 1: Are shares all done at the file/folder/disk level?
When I share a folder containing music, my friend can access the music through the folder, but the music doesn't show up in his library. Again, is this a feature, bug, or user-error?
Basically, I would like to share my (music) library with someone. How to?
I am new to pogoplug (buz) and pretty happy about it so far :-)
I really like the very easy to use "My Libraries" section... especially for music. As root/superuser, I had no problem using the different filters (Artists, Genres, Albums, Songs) and everything was appearing pretty much as I would have expected it to....
However, when it comes to sharing my musics/creations with users I invited on my pogoplug "cloud", they have only 2 ways to access it :
1. go in "My Libraries" and select the filter "songs"
--> all songs from all albums/artists are listed at once...
2. access the shared directory, open it to find all the folders containing different albums.
Why can't they browse the provided list with the "Album", "genre" or "Artists" filters of the Library ?? If they try to do so, they get a message such as
"There are no albums available, You will need to upload music to your Pogoplug before it appears here"
