Hi Gerardo--I've had some issues in the past using Pogoplug as an iTunes drive, mainly with speed. I would generally recommend that you house your iTunes library separately and Active Copy the files to a Pogoplug connected drive. This accomplishes the goals of a redundant backup and remote access to all your music.
Ok, continuing with the help (even when i dont know if the developers really read this cuz in my last post i didnt receive any msg).
When i try to use my pogoplug as a music server for my mac with itunes it doesnt work...
after checking what happened i found that....in iTunes preferences i have to turn off the option to allow itunes to organize my music in folders... if I dont do that...for some reasson itunes never plays the file whos itunes already pasted inside a created in a folder....or it plays just few seconds.
So, if i desactivate this option....is going to work fine....but....the music is not going to be organizated.

Hi Peter, in fact, im using a program that i love named HAZEL, who works likes the automator, just even easier, i ordered to the program that every new folder added to my Music library being copied to the pogoplug music folder, in that way im doing pretty much the active copy.
Peter,
If I'm understanding your proposed solution correctly, you are suggesting that the media library be retained on my laptop (for example), with a duplicate copy on the drive connected to my PogoPlug, maintained by Active Copy.
One of the reasons I had been looking for something like PogoPlug is that my library is bigger than what I have room for on my laptop. Is there a solution for that situation? Thanks for your help.
I've just started looking through the forums, so I'll continue to look, but since these posts were most recent, I thought they might contain the answer.
Phillip
Please let me know if you find anything outside of this thread. I have EXACTLY the same problem!
