How do I wake up a an external WD connected to the USB port?  After about three hours my Seagate Flex Net does not see the external hard drive.  It's still there!  It's light is blinking slowly indicating that it's sleeping.  I thought that the PogoPlug device could wake up a sleeping drive??

Is there some way to send a command to do it??

Shouldn't "refresh the screen" send a wake up command to the PogoPlug?

I have the same issue with a WD elements drive, AC powered.

I had the same issue - there is no workaround.
This problem defeated the whole purpose of having a NAS, so I returned the thing.

I'm having a similar problem, Something I find fascinating and frustrating at the same time is the vast number of variations on this problem.

I have 2 drives attached to my Pogo that both spin down after several minutes of inactivity. That's a good thing in my opinion.

I like using the desktop software to get to my attached drives and before upgrading to the latest desktop software (i.e. 3.0.2) things worked great until I upgraded to Win7 SP1. I read that Win7 SP1 broke the desktop software so I upgraded to 3.0.2 and that sort of took care of the problems.

I have 2 computers running Win7 SP1, both have the Pogo 3.0.2 desktop software installed. On one computer, I can use Windows Explorer, click on one of the sleeping drives attached to the Pogoplug and a few moments later it's awake and showing me the contents of the drive. Wonderful.

However, on the other computer, I do the same thing but the drive isn't awakened and Windows Explorer says the drive is empty. In that case, I have to use the web interface to wake up the drive first. Then I can see the contents in Windows Explorer.

Why the different behavior on two Win7 SP1 computers running version 3.0.2 of the desktop software trying to access the same sleeping drive?

Anybody see this problem and, more to the point, have a solution?
