Is there any restriction (license, software, common sense, etc.) that prevents me from moving the BETA from one computer to another and from one OS to another.

Or, should I apply for another BETA license so that I can play with all of the various computers and OS that are available?

The one problem, and primary reason for the "ask," is uninstalling and then learning that my license is now void/unusable/etc.

Another thought!  Can I install the software using the "auth code" on various computers so that I can learn if I can create the same issue/situation on a different computer/OS without having Cloud Engines coming unglue'd and get all frumpy on license violation!

Thanks!

I am having the same issue. I installed in on main PC for testing but now want to move it my media PC so I can get to my media files.
Seems kind of silly to limit it to one PC. I think ost people would like to have several home PCs on their account....

After continuing to diddle with this "thingie" it seems, for the most part, there are three steps needed: 1) Make sure one's license is available (or buy one/another-one; 2) Unregister the software on the computer where it currently resides; 3) Remove, if installed, the "old/former" desktop application; 4) Go to http://www.pogoplug.com/downloads.html and get the "new" desktop application; 5) Enter license along with eMail and password.

NOTE: When done with the application on one computer, unregister. Then go to another computer, download the software, and enter license along with eMail and password.

This seems to work so far. It is somewhat of a kludge however it is the only solution I have found that seems to work. I would be interested in learning of other approaches that work that have less steps.

PROBLEM: If one "forgets" to uninstall. This is a "real BIG" problem. The plug application is left behind exposing ones content. Not to bad if the stuff is shared to the public: "Unless" you do not mind other folks changing and adding to your content without your permission if you logged in as the administrator. Why the big problem? The desktop application launches each restart giving "potential" access to where you were.

SECOND PROBLEM: If you walk away from a computer where you have installed the software with your license, you may not be able to retrieve your license unless you are granted permission to use the computer. So ALWAYS remember to "unregister" after use!
