... if so, so far so good, my suggestion is around initial usability - when the PC software is installed it lists the pre-shared folders, with red buttons to delete I worked out.  I assumed these were folders that had been recognised, but not enabled, because of the red icon.  I can;t suggest a better way at the moment, but the current iconography didn;t do it for me.

Yes, you can post both beta feedback and support type questions on the beta software in this forum. I'll update the forum description to make this a bit clearer. Thanks!

I know previously that had asked us to send an email to beta@pogoplug.com so the product and test teams would all see the same message.

It certainly wouldn't hurt, but I know the team at Pogoplug is watching this forum with the intention that it will round up the comments nicely in one spot, at least, as best as possible :)

I do think that if an issue is critical or high priority, again, it couldn't hurt to also email.

Just started using the beta and have few UI suggestions (apologies for how long this is). Overall I do really like the functionality this provides.

1) Ditto pen's comment that the red circles with the "x" on the folder access section of the remote access tab are very misleading. I thought it was an indication of some type of connection problem as red and x's in software dialog boxes always mean something's gone wrong. It was not intuitive that these icons weren't status indicators but rather action buttons. Suggestion: Make these icons status indicators and label as such. A green circle denoting good connectivity for each folder would give the user positive feedback that the software saw and connected to each folder. A red circle w/an "X" or "!" could then flag any folder that isn't currently being shared. A checkbox (properly labeled) could be used to connect/disconnect individual folders and would be consistent with how the web UI works for selecting folders.

2)The label for the above status area ("Enable pogoplug remote access to these folders") is also misleading. It implies the user needs to take some action to enable remote access when, in fact, the folders in the list are already shared. Suggestion: Maybe change the title to read "The following folders are currently available for remote pogoplug access and may be individually selected or deselected."

3)Install routine. The install routine installs to the same folder as the non-beta software yet the routine gives the user no feedback that a previous version is in this folder, if it needs to be uninstalled first, or if it's ok to install on top of the existing software stack. Such feedback gives the user that 'warm and fuzzy' that the software knows what it's doing and that everything is ok.

@homiec I whole heatedly agree with everything you have said here.
Red buttons with white crosses had me thinking it wasn't connected.

I agree with the comments above. To compound the mis-conception is the fact (posted in a separate thread) is that my drives are not getting mapped on start up and I have restart the PogoPlug software to get them to appear.
