I want to know if there is a way of only allowing file transfers at certain times?

My ISP includes the amount of data I can upload as well as download in my monthly allowance. I have free unrestricted usage between midnight and 8 in the morning.

Would plugging the Unit into the mains via a timer, so that it is only ON when you want it to be, give you what you want?

For file transfer which software would be used ?? is there 2 systems are not in LAN then how we transfer the files & folders?

THanks for the help. I've sorted it out by changing my contract with my ISP to unlimited broadband!
