Have you tried disconnecting the drives and reconnecting them to your PC to see if they work as normal? If so, then I would try running a disk check using your program of choice (e.g., Disk Utility on Mac)

From time to time, a drive can have errors or corruption present on it that the Pogoplug will attempt to deal with but cannot, causing problems like what you are experiencing.
