Hi

I currently use a Zyxel NAS to store all my music, movies, pictures and documents it's reliable and uses RAID to mirror data. Pretty happy with that. A subset of all that date I would like to share to my pogoplug device to access it on the road (e.g. music & pics).

My NAS offers an easy back up planner which also does scheduled synchs (i.e. publish to a drive of choice). Unfortunately I seem not to be able to directly access pogoplug within the lan (NFS, SMB/CIFS). Thus, I cannot set the synchs up as planned.

I would not want to use the Mac OSX active copy version since it never worked due to amount of data transferred. It also seems akward to have to use my mac to copy from NAS to Pogo.

Any tips or ways to get done what I want?

Regards

Patrick

have you tried something like Allway Sync on the PC? it can do differential copies and only sync file that changes and maybe just the changes in the files. that will limit the bandwidth consumed.

I haven't tried Allway Sync yet with the Pogo (although I have used it personally). If you installed Samba on the Pogoplug, then set up Allway Sync on the PC and scheduled it, that should work. Or instead of Samba, FTP (http://www.pogoplugged.com/forum/thread/14507/Pogoplug-used-as-a-FTP-device/#...

I'm not excited about the "email notification" in Allway Sync (http://sync-center.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=221&p=516&hilit=email#... but it would be better than nothing, I suppose.
