Ok,
1: Is it the device and/or software that is "loosing connection"
2: It might not be losing internet connection, it might just not be connected to the CE/pogoplug.com services for a period.
"The Internet" and one specific server/service are not the same thing.
Does anybody know why why POGO plug keeps dropping the internet connection?
I have windows 7 32 bit. Everything else on my network maintains the connection

All I can say is that the light on th efront is orange and unless I re power the device it does not allow me to see th edrives
