Yet again my PP falls flat on it's face. This time it's the Windows software that augers in whilst trying to copy large files. Shame.

PP keep on moving this product forward and it really does get better and better but as an end-user, I can't afford to have a device where I am expected to do the testing.

Can't argue for the money but it's ime for me to move to a proper server-based solution.

Thanks PP and good luck :)

Which model wireless? Also, if your willing to slightly modify it, we may be able to help at PlugApps

Hello WSE, It's the regular pink coloured PP. I have a couple of 3.5" LaCie 1TB HDDs hanging off it. I push large video files to the device from my PC (Generally videos that I have created from my Full HD camcorder). As soon as the file size gets above about 1.5GB the PP app on my PC (Windows 7 32bit) dies and 50% of the time takes down Explorer.exe with it. It seems to use up all the available RAM (3GB) before rolling over.

Thanks for your offer of help, but I'm looking for a device with a little more redundancy (RAID5) and better file transfer performance for smaller files so it's almost certain I'll move to a 4-bay NAS in the coming months.

Don't get me wrong, the PP is a great device for the money but I need something just a little more robust and higher performance.
