I installed the developer preview for OS X Lion yesterday.  Pogoplug software starts up as usual, but the drive doesn't ever get mounted.  I can restart the program, the machine, etc, but after I log in and the icon appears in my task bar, nothing happens.  the drive doesn't appear on my desktop or in my computer.

Anybody else running he 10.7 Beta and having problems?  Heck, anybody else even running the beta?  Of course, it is in beta, so problems are expected.

Yes, I'm running Lion too and having the same issue with Pogoplug. Part of the fun of running a developer preview of the OS :-)

Your the onliest one, who accepts issues with OS Lion :) Everybody thinks, Lion is already running perfectly.

I also have the same OS Lion, but my drives appear at the desktop. Just downloaded the new software today.
I guess the reason is, that OS Lion is not public yet, so u have to wait or use 10.6 :(

With the GM build administrator login is request to copy files to the Mac. After entering them nothing happens. Opening files works, so does the web interface.
Looks like a security issue.

Yes I do.

Reading from the shared drive to the Mac and writing from the Mac to the shared drive is not possible.

Reading from and writing to a shared Mac with OSX 10.6.8 works.

Opening files and the web interface are working fine.

Got it working to some extent. Still cannot copy or paste to/from drive.

There is an internal ticket.

They have reproduced the issue and now we have to wait for a fix.

Has this been resolved yet - 7/22/11? Are you able to access pogoplug drives?

July 22, 2011 4:56 PM

No there is still no fix. There is also no time to solve communicated. :(

I just bought the new Mac Book Air (awesome) and I immediately installed Pogoplug and can't see my drives. I'm glad I looked here first. Thanks folks!

It works on OS Lion, but not at the Finder.
Im using PathFinder ( Finder alternative ) and everything works fine.

I just got Lion. I can see the devices in Finder and can see the Pogoplug app up on the menu bar, but can't access pogoplug preferences. I also can't upload using the pogoplug web app, just get a big exclamation mark in the upload window, and using finder I get error code 8003, which is usually only associated with the Trash Can. Frustrating as I can still stream from the pogoplug to the Mac......

This is something different. The only thing not working is drag and drop from the Finder menu.

Strange that this should work. I see with the latest version of PathFinder (5.7.5) the same issue.

Same issue. Since I upgraded to Mac OSX Lion, I can't write to or from my USB Pogoplug attached drives. I receive a -8003 error code. Drive mounts OK, I can read the content, I even can upload or download files through web access, but not from Finder.

;o((

I'm using Terminal command line : cp" "-R" "source file" "target (with spaces but without the quotes) , and it seems to work. This is a free solution (PathFinder is commercial...) but not really user friendly...

Even the Mac has some strange behaviors.

Hi Guys,

Take a look at the following thread for a solution to the Pogoplug SW compatibility issues in Lion:
