Hi all,

Got my pogoplug today, registered it, and tried to access using SSH. Currently port 22 is closed as is the default in pogoplg.

However, in the settings page on my.pogoplug.com I only see a big "Change Password" button and two checkboxes:

  • Use full security sessions

No SSH option in sight!

My device is 2.5.7. I don't have any USB device connected to it yet

Thanks,

Shai

Actually I got this resolved by pogoplug support:

It turns out that for this feature to work, pogoplug.com needs to connect to your pogoplg on port UDP 4365 . To resolve, just forward incoming UDP 4365 from the router to the pogoplug. This can usually be done through the router's control panel.

After you enable ssh, you can remove the forwarding from the router

Thanks a bunch! This works.

It would have been a lot better (I spend quite some time on this problem, searching the net / forum / faq to no avail!) to show a disabled checkbox in the settings page with an error message like "Your pogoplug could not be contacted to enable this feature" with some more elaborate information (like which inbound port to open).

I do have the same problem.
My Pogoplug is working, the LED is green but my settingspage does not show any ssh settings.
I tried to run the PP without harddrive and I tried the UDP forwarding but it does not help.
Any other guesses?

Your best bet is to contact support. In my case it took some time but they resolved the problem (UDP port forwarding)

I have the same problem. I could not see any enable SSH checkbox on the page. I have UDP 4365 to the device but no help.
Anybody can give more suggestions?
Thanks
