Hi!

I have my new Pogoplug Pro up and running with ipkg installed (no chroot) - however, I can not get the init script (/etc/init.d/rcS) to mount my ipkg-partition (on external harddisk). I printed the output of "mount" during startup to a log-file, and at the point, there are no mounted harddisks available (also, "fdisk -l" returns nothing at all, during startup). Is it not possible to mount an external drive to /opt and startup services like samba, pure-ftpd etc. in the /etc/init.d/rcS script? Is there another, better way to do so?

Cheers,

Manuel

I too had the same issue. I was somehow able to install ipkg on my pogoplug pro using a guide in this same forum, but had issues with initializing the ipkg at the time of startup.
But when I manually call the init, the ipkg commands come to life...but again I'm stuck with another issue. ipkg update command throws an error for wget command failed at "wget -passive-ftp"

Not sure what to do next.
