After testing a couple of weeks, I realized after testing several data restore scenarios that if anything goes awry on a Dockstar hard disk, you lose all the links setup to that Dockstar managed data on the Pogoplug service. One time the partition sharing music audio "locked up" while doing a remote copy of a large file and creating folders remotely. One file was lost. Recovering from a partition with an Active Copy. However, the sharing URLs were not restored!
So, now we have the Dockstar at our church using a small RAID device (an InfoSHARE dual 2.5" S
ATA with 160GB drives mirrored). Yes, this works - you have to setup the device on a Windows PC, but after doing so, it maintains the mirror function when moving the InfoSHARE o other servers.

Hmm, a sentence got dropped from above:
... So, unless both SATA drives fail in the InfoSHARE enclosure, the links are maintained. You can rebuild the mirrored RAID on drive failure and restore the service without losing the metadata files with the URL to file relationships.
? Are these metadata formats described somewhere so we can attempt to restore them?
