You know the box says it is compatible with the IPhone but it seems like it only works half ass when your on your own network.  I've been to multiple wifi spots with high speed and the router is hooked up on a high speed modem so I know that's not the issue.  Why cant anybody explain this on this forum site.  I've read threw tons of threads but I guess nobody else is having this problem.

I think the Pogo Plug Pro should have had BATA writen on the box cause it's defiantly not ready for release with all the bugs.

Hi Pattilo--more info would be helpful for forum members to respond to your question.

* What doesn't work when you're on your home network? The iPhone client in general? Streaming music? Streaming videos? Etc?

* What do you mean by "half ass?" As in, slow speeds? Unreliable connection? Not at all?

* Are you using the iPhone dedicated app or the browser client?

* if your problem is slow speed, how slow?

* Have you contacted Pogoplug official support at any point? In addition to the forums here, they also have support for technical issues that can't be solved through discussion here.

When I view videos (movie files) while I'm on the network where the Pogo is connected is will view it half the time. This is using my IPhone and the software app for the IPhone, not the website. Sometimes when I click on a video file (movie) it will switch to a black screen, then seconds later go back to the list of files. Now I understand the file has to be transcoded, which takes forever.

When I go to another location with high speed internet and signed in to the account, it will not play anything. It will show the list of video files, when one is selected it will go to a black screen but wont play. The files will not play when away from the local network. The app on my IPhone is updated so not sure what I'm doing wrong. I believe the product will eventually work when the updates come out to solve these issues but the product is not ready. For the average user purchasing this product would have given up already.

I have tried it on the 3G ATT network and it has never worked. I haven't contacted Pogoplug support but was waiting to call as a last resort that's why I thought it's probably something simple I'm not doing that I could get from a forum site.

There needs to be a way to see which video files have been transcoded.

Same here I have a 60Mb/sec connection and even there it's almost impossible to stream video from the pogoplug, either they never play or play sound but no image and the status bar that stays there is annoying has hell.. wish I could go back to the first version at least that one was working ok.. too bad none of our comment has beta tester were taken into accounts :(

I agreed. Why do I get audio with no image for video? I was using wifi within the same LAN. Help please. The file has already been transcoded.
