I have an avi file saved to my hard drive and it plays fine on my windows 7 pc.  However, when I go to http://my.pogoplug.com/ and I select the file a paly button does appear, but nothing happens.  Initially I thought it was perhaps slowly converting the file or whatever it does in the popgplug environment, but I waited a full day and still no luck.  I even tried to share it to myself and still  it did not play in the popoplug environment.

I hope this is not an issue as one of the big selling point to me about pp was I thought I could easil play and share avi files without people or myself wondering why it was not playing.

That's weird...I usually only get that if trying to access a video that I just added. When you go to the media settings menu, does it say that its trying to transcode anything? Even other videos?

I think I see the issue.. It shows that 91 items are being transcoded. I recently signed up for PogoPlug and immediately synched MyPictues and MyVideos on my external Hard Drive with PogoPlug. Thus, I am assuming since I have a few years worth of videos and pictures I need to leave the pogoplug site up and not close it for a day or two so it can complete the transcoding ?

Also this whole transcoding thing is a little confusing in terms of the settings I need to choose..can you provide a good link..
