The accessibility is based upon [1] the admin account and [2] folders that you have shared.
If you are connecting to the PP via the admin account on both computers then you cannot limit access of one or the other drive.
If you are connecting to the PP via shared accounts then they will only be able to see those folders that are shared with them.
I have two PP accounts. My real one -- the admin one, and another with a secondary email account that I share a folder with.
When I am home I use the admin account. This is the account that I use to make backups etc.
When I am at work, or my in-laws, etc. I log on with my secondary account so that only one folder on one drive is accessible. This is like my internet based portable drive -- a junk folder I can get to anywhere. But I can't see the critical backups etc., therefore I won't accidentally mess them up.

Hello all. I want to, if possible, restrict access to a hard drive I have attached to my Pogoplug. I want to be able to only access it on one computer, and not be able to access it to the other computer on my network. Is there any way I could do this? If I had to password protect it, that would be fine (if this is even possible). I would really prefer that the computer not even show the drive, but I am open to other roundabout solutions (if there are any, that is). Thanks!
Also, please let me know if I am posting this question in the wrong section (noob here :-) ). Thanks again.
So, I just want to make sure I've got this straight - If I share a folder (a hard drive in this case), I'll be able to both write items to it (and use the active copy function as well) and copy/view items from it on that computer of which I only want to be able to see one hard drive with? (Hopefully that all made sense - if anything in there wasn't clear, just let me know, thanks!)
Yes -- just make sure that you share it with full access.
I don't know about Active Copy. It appears to work, but seeing as I only have one folder in my shared account I can't test it.
(By the way -- you can't actually share a drive. You will have to share folder in it, but if that is where all the stuff is then it will act like a whole drive.)

Here's a little more information:
I currently have 2 drives attached to the Pogoplug. I want to share one drive with the other computer, and restrict access to the other drive. Therefore, I want to still be able to do active sync and be able to access files off of the hard drive that the other computer on my network has access to, while blocking access to the second drive. Thanks again!
