Try some basic troubleshooting steps - sometimes, the Pogoplug cannot correct errors that may be present on the drive. (Such errors aren't necessarily harmful to your files but can cause other problems.)
Disconnect the drive and run a disk check, then reconnect the drive. That can solve this problem in many cases, and if not, you can contact Pogoplug support to have them check it out.

I have successfully used a drive connected to my pogoplug but now i get the error message 'This drive is not available'
I can usually access the drive from within windows explorer
This happens even when I reboot the system.
I am using windows 7
Any suggestions?
I have carried out the basic trouble shooting techniques, several times now.
I have two drives connected to my pogoplug. On 27/01/11 at about 20:00 hrs (GMT) I was able to access both drives. Now on 28/01/11 at 09:54 hrs (GMT) I simply get the message that the drives are not available. I have tried two different laptops and my iphone
I am just about ready to throw the pogoplug devise in the bin!!!
I have the same problem. First the drives are available (i reformatted the drive before attaching) then after a few days - no drives available.
Any ideas anyone ?
Thx
I have two drives that I have used for several months with Pogoplug. As of tonight, both indicate "This drive is not available."
PLEASE tell us how to fix this!
I am having the same issue. I have run disk checks, ejected safely, and restarted and reattached my drives... nothing works. Please help.
Bought a PP on Friday night used it for a few hours tried to use on Saturday Morning and I got the "Drive not Available" message. Support had me run through these test which did nothing. I have 6 USB External drive not one was recognized. ultimately Support Fedex me a new PogoPlug received it 8/10 So all seems to be working so far.
I think this thread is the closest to my problem. Upon rebooting my win 7 x64 system, access to the hard disk drive attached is not possible, the only item showed is "Files Shared With Me".
From another computer on the system the listed files are "Files Shared With Me" and "Seagate Disk". The files are on the attached "Seagate Disk" - both of these also appear and can be accessed from my Android APP.
So what is going on? How do I connect to the disk?
Thanks - Dan

i had the exact same issue. i dont know which version of the software you are using, but i was using 2.5.5 because i hated the upgrade. it worked fine until about 3 days ago. stopped working all together. uninstalled and reinstalled and did not help. i downloaded the latest version and installed that, working fine for me now. except my iphone and ipad will not work but thats a different issue. at least i can get on from my computer. hope that helps.
Funny, iapp stopped working. Same thing happened to the android app when I finally got the new version 3.1.0.70 installed and working.
Support at first gave me the same, reinstall blah, blah, blah - firewall blah, blah, blah - antivirus, blah, blah, blah... already did that before I posted you goof... everyone always gives the same suggestions. Replied back that reinstall was tried 3 times and did not work, same issue... finally got a worthwhile suggestion from Omar at Pplug support...
When installing the software DIABLE the UAC control!!!
1. Open 'Control panel'.
2. Open 'User account'
3. Select 'Change User Account Control settings'.
4. Change the bar to minimum and select OK.
5. Try to run Pogoplug installation again.
After the installation is finished you can set the bar back to the original level.
This WORKED... never did this before and now think this is what needs to be done for all the other programs which have been a nightmare to install. Once again this is for Win 7 Ultimate N x64 which I have been using. - Dan

When this typically happens I power off the Pogoplug as well as any external drives and then power them back on, and on the PC I will log out of the Pogoplug app and re-login (I do this with my smartphone as well) and this gets me back up and running.
