Hi gasman,
When you connect a drive to the Pogoplug, all of the files on the drive are available for view on your local network, as long as you either have Pogoplug Drive installed with your login, or login to the web client from anywhere with your credentials.
Remember that only you can see everything, though, with your secure login. Other computers on your network will not be able to see the drives unless you install Pogoplug Drive on them and log in with your credentials.
You can share individual files with others, of course, through the web interface.
Does that answer your question?

I am looking before I buy a pogoplug pro, and I want to know, if you allow access to the hard drive connected to the pogo, are ALL folders on that drive accessible, or only designated ones. And what happens to the drives on other computers on the network??
What If I wanted to share the entire Drive with people? Can I do that & give them only Download Access?

If you have all of your files stored in folders on your drive, it would be easy to click them all and share them with people, but I don't know of a way to easily share an "entire" drive with someone else. That could be a dangerous feature indeed :) Even easier would be to dump everything on the drive into a "main" folder on the drive and just share that.
The Biz version does allow you to set up other users, and that is an easy way to give others "administrative" level access, if that's something you need.
Thanks, but not exactly. Let's say I have 2 folders, one I want to share and one I don't on the same drive. When I grant access to 'great aunt Myrtle' can she only see one of them or both.
Thanks

Thats exactly how it works. You can grant access to whoever you want to a specific folder and they can't access anything other than you have allowed then to.
One last thing. Is a pogoplug pro compatible with iPad? i.e. can you download files onto the ipad from the selected shared folders.
