Seconding this, lately the my.pogoplug.com interface is getting very slow, is it because it's constantly asking/reporting to google? Like Richard I am curious as to why this is needed.

Dear Pogoplug,
WHO was the genuis that decided to put links in to Google Analytics when browsing files in my.pogoplug.com? This causes problems on slow internet connections (GPRS/Dialup etc) - Besides, why is this needed?! How can you claim the device is secure when Google is contacted all the time.
Richard
var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
(document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0] || document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0]).appendChild(ga);
thanks for reminding me... I opened a fault ticket with CloudEngines. The forum seems to be almost void of PP representation and is suffering BitRot quite quickly.
I got a TonidoPlug installed which I feel is more value and what I wanted from a cloud OS (as it works WITH and WITHOUT a internet connection) All the PP does is serve family pictures to my mother now :-) (a total waste or resources)
I will keep the forum posted on the reply.

So Why is GoogleAnalytics being contacted!.
HI. Thanks for the feedback. We have been using Google Analytics for our internal information to see what features of the site people are using. This has helped us enhance features that are popular and try and fix ones that aren't being used. We never share this information.
We have a major site update coming out in early April and we have removed all calls to Google Analytics.

So what you are saying is that you have violated section 4.4 of your own EULA?
Thank you for removing it.
