When you reconnect the drive to the PP it will rescan the drive -- to update its database -- and anything that was added from the other use will appear.
This has been a point of contention for some people. They get very annoyed that the rescans can take a long time if large quantities are added between connections.

What happens if use the same hard drive for other purposes. I may attach it directly to my mac on occassion and do a time machine backup. I also may take the drive with me for photo storage. Will pogo plug simply ignore all the other data when I reconnect the hard drive?
It's not the only device that does this also, other platforms also performs indexing to be able to perform quick searches.
A mac wipes the hard drive and replaces the file system with its file system when using time machine. Can pogo plug make use of the other file system and write to the space left?
