So i successfully set up my new pogoplug pro at my home network over the holidays and I have to say I can't live without it now.  My problem is that at my university our IT department requires that we register devices to get on the internet.  Basically you give them the MAC address of the device and they decide if they want to authorize it to join the network.  So I took in my pogoplug and explained to them what it was and gave them the MAC address and they for some reason won't grant it access so I was wondering if there is anyway I can get around this.

It's just a pain that I bought this thinking that it would be accepted at my school but as of now it is just collecting dust on the shelf :(

Sorry about that gflow. Best bet would be to take it to the closest friend who lives off-campus and plug it in there. My school used to do the same thing so we had to jump through hoops to get things other than our laptops working...and when they found out what we did we were quickly scolded.

Yeah I thought about that or just trying to bridge the connection to it from my Macbook Pro but to me that kind of defeats the purpose of the plug. Hopefully I'll find some way around it.
