Every time I try to stream to my xbox from my PP Pro, the song just stops after a couple seconds...  anybody else have this problem?  I put it in the DMZ on my network and enabled sharing for my xbox.  WHEN my xbox will read my files, sometimes random artists/albums don't show up!  Just so you know, I have been sharing my files to my xbox from my computer for as long as that has been supported, so I KNOW what I'm doing.

From the Pogoplug android app, some of my folders and files just don't show up.  They are JUST MUSIC.  For example, I have a folder labeled "H" for all the artists that I have starting with H.  From the app, this folder shows up as EMPTY!

I'm seriously starting to regret buying this thing...  I'm probably just going to build a barebones desktop and plug my ex. drive into that and just save myself the headache unless someone can help me figure out what is going on.  My experience so far has been similar to my first time trying Fruit Stripe gum... awesome at first and then HORRIBLE after about 5 seconds.

Hello,

There are newer versions of all the mobile-apps currently in development, that should correct several issues.

For the XBOX streaming issue, please try the following:
- Safely eject the drive from the Pogoplug by ejecting it in the WebUI.
- Connect drive to a PC.
- Scan it for errors.(DiskUtility for OSX, ScanDisk for Windows)
- At the root of the drive, there's a hidden folder called ".cedata". Please delete it. If you are unfamiliar with finding hidden files/folders, support.pogoplug.com can help. Please note that any transcoded videos will need to be re-transcoded if this folder is deleted.
- Eject from your PC safely.
- Reboot Pogoplug by unplugging it, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in.
- Wait for a solid green light, then reconnect the drive.
- In the WebUI, Settings->MediaSettings you'll probably see a "Scanning Media" task. Please allow this task to complete.

Now try streaming to XBOX again. If this doesn't work, please create a support ticket at support.pogoplug.com and provide the music file causing the issue.

Thanks,

The only limit to the Pogoplug is your imagination... and C skills... and linux skills. ^_^ h\t\tp://download.pogoplug.com/opensource/pogoplug-gcc.tar.bz2

I don't have an XBOX, but did try following those steps a while ago for my PS3. It didn't seem to do anything for me, so I decided to just transfer all the music files directly to the PS3. This is a huge bummer since music streaming was one of the main sales points for me. I'd be very interested to see if these steps helped solve your XBOX issue.

Also, is there a reason that Pogoplug doesn't include the ability to "reset" the pogoplug remotely (ie scan the hard drive, delete the cedata file, and reboot the pogoplug)? This would give me much more confidence that I'd be able to use the device while traveling...
