I'll answer your second question first since that's the easier one: if you're on your LAN, you're not using your bandwidth, so Comcast shouldn't "dock points" for that one.
As for sharing those videos, yes, you would be using up bandwidth for that one. Depending on the size of the video and the amount of times it's streamed, you may be using up a lot of bandwidth there. What I would recommend is uploading those larger video files to YouTube and making the videos private so only certain people can see them...that way you're not using up your bandwidth every time someone decides to view that video.

Hi all! New to the forums here and I've got a question for you all...
So many of you are aware of Bandwidth Caps put in place by certain ISPs. For example, I personally use Comcast and they supply a monthly cap of 250GBs.
Now with my average downloading and browsing the net etc, I've never quite come close to hitting that cap and I hope my habits allow me to stay that way. I usually peak at about 120GB a month.
Anywho, my question for all the other Pogo Plug users out there is...
Will using my pogoplug to host files for others to download from me use a big chunk of my monthly bandwidth? Let's say that I have some videos to share from events I've recorded that are appx 500MB in size and that I decide to share those with a few of my colleagues (about 3-5 people).
Likewise, another question on a similar note, I love my media streaming capabilities on my Playstation 3 and I use it in conjunction with my PogoPlug drives. Does anyone know if by performing local media streaming just on my local network (pogo plug drive connected to the same router as my playstation 3) is metered as used bandwidth or is it classified as just a local transfer (therefore not being counted in Comcast's Meter Usage).
I hope my questions are clear. Thanks in advance!
