Hello,
What kind of drives are these? Filesystem? Size?

Hello all,
I am using a PogoPlug POGO-E02 and it has all sorts of problems when a new drive is connected. With the first two drives, it trashed the MBR and the drives had to be reinitialized and reformatted! After that I connected one of the newly formatted drives and, after rebooting the PogoPlug a couple of times, the drive showed up. However when I connect additional drives to the PogoPlug, it does not reflect their presence at all. This is a deal-breaking shortcoming - if it doesn't reflect that the drive is there, the PogoPlug cannot do its job.
I don't know whether it matters, but I am accessing the PogoPlug inside my own home network from a variety of Windows computers running XP, Vista, Win7 32-bit, and Win7 64-bit. Behavior is identical on all computers.
What do I have to do to make the PogoPlug recognize newly attached drives?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. The working drive is a Seagate 1TB with NTFS. The non-working drive is a WD 2TB, also with NTFS. If I connect the WD's enclosure directly to my PC via USB, it works great.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Well, the PogoPlug is now waiting to be returned. Its history:
Day 1: Trashes file allocation of 2 drives.
Day 2: One reformatted drive appears consistently on the PogoPlug.
The other reformatted drive appears and disappears at random,
even in the middle of a copy.
Day 3: PogoPlug refuses to recognize a third drive.
I scan the company forum for clues, then post a message
and also email their help address.
The forum post yields no answers. The email gets a response
to connect the drive to a PC, CHKDSK it, then re-attach
to the PogoPlug.
Day 4: This works for a few hours, then the 3rd drive disappears again.
The 2nd drive also disappears.
The 1st drive remains present but reports that its directories
are all empty.
Game over, PogoPlug.
I'm sorry to hear that.
Although the Pogoplug works for the majority of our customers, we always look to improve the product for those who might not like their experience. We hope that you will reconsider the Pogoplug solution in the future.
