Until it can do this my PogoPlug will collect dust.  What a shame they are dropping the ball on the real way people are using the cloud.

yes, please...

combine this with "open in" on the ipad and iphone, and we are there.
(already clamoured for in another thread)

personal opinion: on the devices this is much more important then on the pc.
on the pc there are all kinds of tricks around its problems.

I've just got a SugarSync account for my work stuff and realized how much PogoPlug sucks as a cloud application on mobile devices. I guess that's the reason I've only been using it as a NAS server. I have an iPhone and a Noook Color and for both of them Pogoplug is just unusable: I cannot open any files for editing on my iPhone nor can I download or open them for editing using the browser on my Nook (there are no apps for Nook yet). SugarSync does both like a charm. Even the web interface works so much better for SugarSync on my Nook. The lack of the mobile web version for My.Pogoplug makes it pretty much unusable on my Nook.

Yep, they are trying to be very clever, show all kinds of viewers, etc, but the basics are much more important

I am very happy withe the new iPhone app. Now pogoplug is is just as functional on my iPhone as sugarsync. However, the web interface update has not solved my issues with android browser (my Nook does not allow installing apps). The download button is still not functioning in the android browser. However, doc viewers appear to run much smoother on my Nook now.

To the guy whining about his Nook. It's not Pogoglug that is obsolete and inferior. It's your Nook. Get a real tablet device and use your Nook for reading books. A Nook may be marketed as an multi-purpose tablet, but it is a glorified color book reader parading as something more. As the commercial says, "if you don't have an iPhone" or in this case "if you don't have an iPad", then quit whining.
And my Pogoplug apps for iphone and ipad work great as well as my desktop premium software. I have Pogoplug Business device with a 1TB hard drive plugged into it. I have everything that Sugar Sync provides and more. For a one time price of $199 for Pogoplug Business, I have virtually unlimited storage which is only limited by the number and size of the hard drives that I plug into my Pogoplug vs. Sugar Sync Business which costs $199 per year for only 100GB of storage. That's a great deal and hard drives are still dropping rapidly in price.
