Hi, I store video content on my pogoplug to watch through the PS3.  The media server works great, but if I have just copied something over to the pogoplug, it won't show up on the PS3 right away.  I seem to have to reset it by disabling media sharing, then re-enabling it.  Searching for media servers would also do it on the PS3 but that's pretty slow.  I was hoping to see a "refresh" choice in the menu on the XMB but I don't see one.  Is there a way I'm missing?

Hello,

If you go into the MediaSettings page in my.pogoplug.com and disable, then re-enable the streaming option for the the service, the PS3 will be forced to refresh its view.

Thanks,

Ok, I knew that method, but was hoping I could do it right from the PS3. If the pogoplug menu (pressing triangle from the pogoplug logo) had a 'refresh' option that would be most convenient.
Thanks for your reply

Unfortunately, we don't control the menus you see on the PS3. That's exclusively under SONY's control. If we do find a way to force the PS3 to refresh its view on UPnP'ish devices, we'll be sure to let folks know.

Does that also apply for why I see "Music" and "Pictures" choices under the pogoplug when in the "Video" section of the XMB? I always find it odd that those choices appear in sections they don't apply to. Is that just a gap between how the XMB segregates those functions and that UPnP's do it also?

Yes,

That is also something SONY does, that we cannot prevent.
