I would like to see a way to turn the left sidebar off on the PogoPlug Biz.

I recently bought a biz for my business and would love to use it, but the left sidebar does not fit in a professional atmosphere. All I want our board members seeing are things like folders and file names. Possibly the updated 'Today, last week, last month' piece. But certainly not the 'Movies, Photos, Music, Slideshows, and sharing' sections.

Thank you.

Hello,

You could do a public-share and do the presentation with that URL instead. The leftside bar will not apppear in that case. But do turn off publicsharing when you're done, as publicsharing is accessible to anyone who has the URL.

Thanks,

Thank you. But in my instance, it is a must to have security enabled.

The sidebar on the Biz is, in my opinion, unprofessional. So I guess it surprises me that it is even there the same as it is on the more 'home' versions of the PP.

I see

Try this.

After logging in, type this in your address-bar all one line

javascript:document.getElementById('cesidebar').style.visibility='hidden';return false;
Then push enter. The sidebar menues will disappear.

If you're using a different browser, please let me know.

Yes! That is much better. Now, can this be turned into something permanent for the users I am sharing too? (After logging out and back in, it turns back on.)

I suppose what I am asking for is not possible. It seems as though when people need to create a username and password for my share, they are actually creating a PP account of their own. Not technically visiting my PP share or logging onto my PP.

So is it even realistic to think I could one day have people connect to this share and have it be fully customized for them with a custom UI with our company logo, etc on it?

The following implementation will work in IE as well.
javascript:(function (){document.getElementById('cesidebar').style.visibility='hidden';})();

Unfortunately, this javascript method is pretty much a hack-job. There currently isn't a way to make it permanent. I will mention this wanted-feature to the developers.
However, it should be possible now that any custom colors you set on your BizPlug via CustomUI should show up for anyone viewing your shares from their own accounts. So, perhaps making the sidebar disappear completely isn't too far out of the question. But only when they're viewing your share.

Thanks,

Ditto. I set up a Pogoplug BIZ as an easy ftp for my clients. I would like to be able to remove the left sidebar, or even better, to control what shows there when clients log into my shares. Specifically, I want to remove: Movies, Photos, Music and Slideshows.

I have even bought this PogoPlug with the idea of sharing the password protected content with my customers.

My cstomers do not want all these info in the left bar. Just the folders and the images. I would like to see the option in the featured version to select a 'hide toolbar' checkbox.
