G'day!

This may be a stupid question but I want to know if the Pogoplug Pro *needs* a constant ethernet cable connection to my router?

I am planning to set-up the Pogoplug Pro in the basement of my house and would not be able to run a ethernet cable downstairs to the basement.

My router is located on the ground floor.

Can the Pogoplug Pro be run as 'stand alone' only connected via WiFi to my router?

Of course for set-up I could temporary connect the Pogoplug Pro to my router using a ethernet cable.

I appreciate any feedback.

Cheers,

Mark

Yes to both questions. The Pro has Wifi built in. You only need to hard-wire it for the initial setup.
