I am very much interested in this question as well
Categories: Pogoplug Classic
Hi there
Wonder if anyone can help.
I have a pogoplug pro, which is plugged in and appear to be working fine.
I out of the country right now, and my external IP has changed back at home (due to Comcast crash no doubt), so I cannot get onto my server to home.
Since my Pogoplug connecting is working fine, I am presuming that somewhere I could see what external IP I am connecting to, to access pogoplug.
Does anyone know a way to reveal the external IP of a network that pogoplug is connecting to, remotely?
Many thanks indeed for any help!
don;t know the answer to this-thought there would be a way to reverse engineer the ip address from the remote client but does not seem to be.
in the future, you should set up a free dynamic dns account at a service your router supports-like no-ip.com so you can give your network an easy to remember url name. No-IP is pretty easy and gives you 3 free domain addresses.
i don;t use dyndns anymore because they have made getting a free account restrictive and a hassle.
