Have you tried running disk repair/checks on the drive once you unattached it? That fixes this issue for many, many Pogoplug users on our forums.

This happens when there are file errors or corruption on the drive that the Pogoplug cannot handle or auto-correct. Usually, most standard disk utility programs can fix these errors and make the drive readable by the Pogoplug again.
