It's possible that the SlimBox would see your Pogoplug, since the Pogoplug can serve via uPnP to XBOX 360 and PS3. I've seen reports of members here using various network streamers with the Pogoplug.
That being said, the XBOX 360 and PS3 are the only boxes "officially" supported by the Pogoplug software and firmware, so there's no guarantee it would work. (The Pogoplug is different from a NAS.)
Does that help? Are there any community members out there who have tried this streaming product with Pogoplug?

Hi,
I'm looking at a Christmas "toy" and saw the Slimbox.
The ad states, "SlimBox is a full 1080p HD network solution which is directly connectable to your TV in order to read your multimedia files (videos, music and photos) stored on your PC or on a NAS UPnPAV server".
Would it see my Pogoplug drives?
cheers
Hmmm ...
thanks for the reply, Peter.
I have been waiting, hoping someone might reply with a more positive answer.
I'm a bit concerned about forking out nearly £80 for something that'd be a dead duck if it can't access my Pogoplug drives.
If you use the drive software for the pogoplug it should act as if the files are on your computer and the device should be able to stream them to your slimbox.
Not 100% sure but from my understanding of the pogoplug it should work, as long as you are on the same network.
But dont take my word on this without testing it first.
Rock,
the idea is that I shouldn't need to go via a computer. The Slimbox would recognise the Pogoplug drives as Network Access Storage directly via its own Lan connection.
Raceman,
thanks it does help. I'm probably a bit over cautious about Peter's comment, "officially". Looks like Pogoplug will show itself as a NAS and, if things don't work out I can always send the Slimbox back.
I'll post my findings.
Thanks everyone.
